Many new goods have been added!what are items for
Items are created by members of the group. They are used to enhance your roleplays, and a way to use the gold collected. You can gift items (in-character roleplay only) to other characters for bonus FP points. Otherwise, you can collect items for your characters to use in their houses / eat, etc.On the site, clicking the item will show the item description and who made the item. You can click on their username to visit their page, or the image to obtain the full size item image.
buying items
To purchase, simply comment on this journal (view the other comments for the format needed). If you do not have enough gold, your purchase may be denied.submitting items
Want to submit an item to the group? You can do so any time, just follow the instructions:- Check the market and make sure the item doesn't exist already (or a very similar version of it).
- Reply to this comment with what you are making, and for what shop. Again, make sure no one else is making it already. Tips:
- Don't make anything you don't think you'd see in an RF/HM game.
- You are allowed to submit an item with variants (without having drawn a picture of each variant), and the user is allowed to create variants from the item.
- You can submit gag items (items that cost a ridiculous amount of gold) but it's unlikely anybody will buy them...
- Check out the other characters' liked/loved items and see what is lacking.
- Don't submit animals (those are limited).
- For magical items, effects should either be small or temporary. That is, if you want a potion that can turn a character hybrid, it can't be permanent.
- Wait for admin approval. Note that if the item is deemed incorrect for the shop chosen, it will be placed in the correct one.
- Once the admin replies to your comment, draw the item. When the item is done, note the group with the following information:
- item image (transparent background preferred, minimum 100px x 100px)
- item name
- item description
- item price
- the name of the shop the item is for
- The item should be added fairly shortly to the shop. Some changes may be made (price if too cheap, typos in description, etc.).
- Tips:
- Try to leave some space around your item, don't draw it to the edge of your canvas.
- Items look best if centered on the canvas.
- Ideally, the canvas should be a square. The best dimensions to use are 200px x 200px and 400px x 400px.
limited items
Event shops are only available during the duration of the event. After the event ends, the items are retired. If you would like your item to be available after the event, simply note the group once the event ends to have it relocated to a suitable shop. This applies to all past event items as well, excluding Taffy Town, as that is a reoccurring event.disclaimer
Items you make become EclairExpress official assets, which means other members may (respectfully) use the images. The items for normal shops will not be removed even if you leave the group (unless you note us and request a takedown). You will continue to be credited, of course. Independent shops will be retired when the shop owner leaves the group, but items may be moved to another shop (depending on what the item is).
Furthermore, you do not receive any gold when a user purchases an item you made. Items are just for a bit of RP fluff and fun. You can get a free (single) copy of the item you made as long as the cost is under 5000G.
